Papagayo Peninsula Adults Only Holidays

Just wow - So much to say about this property! My husband and I stayed for 2 weeks. The view overlooking the marina is GORGEOUS and worth it for breakfast on the balcony every morning! Playa Flamingo is a short 5-10 min walk away and that beach is one of the nicest in Costa Rica! When we arrived, Carlos greeted us and drove us to get groceries to stock up the fridge. He was so welcoming and so kind! Gustavo was also invaluable during our stay; always offering a recommendation or a friendly smile! The room itself was perfect. The bed was so comfy, the AC was a godsend and everything was clean and neat. Staying in the marina is super convenient! There are multiple restaurants to choose from as well as a plaza across the street for other dining options. We did not need to rent a car for being in this area. We rented a golf cart and that allowed us to explore Flamingo, Potrero and drive all the way to Brasilito (to park and walk to Playa Conchal). The area of Playa Flamingo is very quiet with little to no nightlife. We loved it for this aspect but understand it could be “too quiet” for others. We stayed in the Ron Ron suite. Wonderful views. Great food and service at the restaurant. Hotel was difficult to find since it was the evening. The viewing platform had great views but lots of bugs and ants up there.

The facility needs lots of maintenance. The first room we were put in the ceiling was all busted up. The second room in the middle of the night water started dripping from the ceiling into the bathtub. Only had one elevator operating throughout our entire state and various ice machines were not working. We understand that it’s slotted for remodeling and now we know why.

It was an incredible experience - the hotel, the staff, and of course the paradise location. Special thanks to Luis, for his constant desire to help and serve pushed the experience over the top!

Great location! But apart from the location, the experience of the hotel doesn’t match the premium price it charges. We don’t recommend it and won’t go back.

Amazing resort! Staff was super attentive, friendly and really went out of their way to make a memorable trip! The restaurants were all exceptional too.
