A beautiful hotel, with lovely friendly happy staff, who always gave a huge morning welcome at breakfast time. Delicious healthy breakfast and the best coffee, I've tasted in a long time, I had to go back for another. I felt very safe and it's in a great location to get to/from the ferry and to walk around to the shops and restaurants.

Wonderful relaxing resort set in beautiful gardens. Very welcoming friendly staff. Excellent food with much variety. Once a week there is a fantastic barbecue served along with a local band playing for everyone to learn some local dances. The bungalows are very most comfortable and very private. There is a wonderful jetty at the beach where you can sit and watch the sunset. Private dining is also available at the jetty or beach. Lovely hotel for couples especially honeymooners.

A wonderful stay in the heart of Stone Town! We stayed at Emerson Spice during our trip to Zanzibar and what a fantastic place it is! The hotel is full of character, with beautiful traditional architecture and a real sense of Zanzibar’s history. It was the first hotel we stayed in Zanzibar for sightseeing purpose in world heritage Stone town. We stayed for two nights in the first week of Dec and enjoyed the stay. Excellent location for the purpose. We picked sea view room. The taste of interior was excellent. Park Hyatt style with nice color fabric and sturdy furniture. Loved everything about this Hotel. Staff made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. We had a beach front double room which was absolutely beautiful. Tours to Stonetown and Spice Tour ( and others) can be booked from Hotel. Meals were amazing. Looked forward to the evening visit around 6pm of the Bush Babies and fed them bananas. The green flag idea was wonderful - as were the cocktails!

We really looked forward to staying at the Zanzibar Queen given other reviews. It didnt disappoint. Fantastic location in beautifully kept grounds. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. The pool area was clean and enticing. There was also boules, volleyball and badminton available to keep the body exercised. As well as table tennis and darts. The restaurant was superb. Ingredients and dishes were varied and akin to fine dining. Resort felt very private although effectively right on the beach....

Amazing resort, perfect for relaxing and the friendliest staff with the F&B team going above and beyond. We had a lovely private dinner on the beach on our last night which was a perfect end to an unbelievable stay. Highly recommended and will be back.

We stayed one night in Serena and liked it enough to spend our final night in Zanzibar there. This is a lovely traditional building with very good restaurants and welcoming staff who are unfailingly polite and helpful. We really enjoyed the sea location, yet in a quiet square in the heart of Stone Town.

Small and classy property where you are a name not a number. Staff went out of their way to please and hotel prices for food and drink excellent. I travelled with two teenagers and location on a great beach with a water sports centre on site could not have been better

We spent 9 days in this boutique hotel. It was lovely, our room was so cute with lovely touches from flowers on the bed on arrival to towels laid out in different style each day (even a heart to end our stay). It was beautifully turned down twice a day and made us feel so welcomed. Our room was lovely as a romantic as retreat and to get out of the madness of he markets. The customer service at this Hotel is second to none. I am particularly impressed with the food and Beverages Manager Mr Kalei. He is very hardworking and is on top of everything. He made sure we were very comfortable and happy with the service. He is a great asset to the team. The General Manager Mr Ally was very hospitable and humble. The staff are great. This is an exceptional hotel. The location was excellent for exploring Stone Town and beyond. The staff was professional, polite and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was clean and the beds incredibly comfortable. A truly unique hotel.

We had a trouble at check in which was resolved quickly by the helpful staff. The room was clean and had a hairdryer in the bathroom. We loved the rooftop pool. Plenty of breakfast options and a beautiful beach. The location is perfect and we felt very safe there.

We had two days in stone town as part of a bigger trip to Zanzibar. Our stay at Mizingani Seafront Hotel was great. Big clean room, helpful staff and the location was the perfect base for us to explore.
