"Sofitel on Renmin Square exceeded our expectations in the quality and spaciousness of the room: for example, it had two toilets and a seperate Tub/Shower arrangement). It also exceeded our expectations in the breakfasts and the ambiance of the dining room. Additionally, all of the staff (expecially Leo the concierge) made us feel welcomed and were warm and friendly. Our stay at Sofitel Xian was a delight and an unexpected highlight of our 4 night stay in the city."

"Taxi cannot find it It’s far from the train station Note that xian now has two train stations. At this time of writing, one cannot take the xian subway to the old xian station-the station closest to this hostel. Instead, it’s a 30 minute drive to the new (north) station where the fast trains are located In the double room: Water hot. English tv station. Room heat worked well. Very fun decor. Nice restaurant (didn’t try the food. Coffee was expensive but tasted good). There weren’t many...
