"I was able to check in at 9.30am rather than the 2pm stated on the website which really helped after a long night train from Beijing. The room was huge with two big beds and a late bathroom with seperate shower and bath and many toiletries included. Interesting window feature in my room so you can see through to the room while in the bathroom! The reception allowed me to keep my suitcase in the hotel the day after when I checked out so I could see more of the city before I left for Shanghai in...

Top Xi'an City Walls Hotel Reviews

Novotel Xi'an The Bell Tower

8/10 Good

"Excellent Location, but Service and Housekeeping Need Improvement The hotel boasts an excellent location, just a stone’s throw from the subway station and within walking distance of the Bell Tower, shopping areas, and plenty of eateries. The breakfast spread offers a good variety of choices. However, food items are sometimes not replenished promptly when they run out. There also seems to be a lack of staff to guide guests to their tables during breakfast. Housekeeping is another area that needs improvement. Service was inconsistent, with towels or bottled water occasionally missing from the room. Overall, while the hotel scores highly for its convenient location, it did not quite live up to the standards we have come to expect from other Novotel properties we have stayed at. Improvements in housekeeping, service consistency, and breakfast operations would certainly enhance the overall guest experience."

Xi'an Bell Tower Manxin Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"The staff was super friendly. It's too bad they don't have any staff that speaks English but we used Google translate and WeChat translate and it worked out fine. Rooms we're immaculate everyday and roomy. We used the laundry facilities and partook in the sumptuous breakfast and the afternoon tea when we were in the area. And as we checked out, they gave us parting gifts. What a great surprise! I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever in Xian again and I would highly recommend this property to friends and family visiting. The hotel was very close to the Bell and Drum Towers, within walking distance."

Xi'an Bell Tower Yongning Gate Manxin Hotel-Barrier-free English Service Non-smoking Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"A very modern hotel with a great location. Rooms were spacious, clean and elegant with separate toilet from the shower. Staff were very courteous and helpful especially our cleaning lady and the one who was so helpful with the Free laundry facilities. Buffet was decent with lots of variety. Would definitely stay here again and recommend."

Grand Mercure Xian Renmin Square

10/10 Excellent

"The staff was over the top with helping me, especially Eva at the desk and Warren at the door. I hadn’t set up any local trips before I arrived but they took care of taxis and getting me an outstanding English guide (“Wang”) at the Terra Cotta Warriors excavation site. Unfortunately the laundry prices were a little high. I had a full load, 9 tee shirts for instance, with the associated clothing, not much else that cost over $100 to get done. The pool and restaurant are in another building, another hotel actually but the buffet was a spread you wouldn’t believe. At about $25, it made the buffets in the US look like a fast food snack bar. Two other restaurants, Italian and Chinese, were in the other buildings in this gated complex. Yes the Mercure was slightly dated, but not enough to warrant criticism. It was located about 30-40 minute taxi drive (cheap at about $7) from the Xi’an north “bei” (pronounced “bay” train station."
