"Hotel is the top floors of an older hotel or inn so the entrance is a narrow staircase between a Starbucks and small Tesco. However, once you're upstairs the main dinning room/ bar/ reception is cozy and old fashioned. Check in was quick/easy, and our room (#9) was typical of this type of hotel. "Fabulous location for the city centre, however if you want somewhere quiet you’d be disappointed, we had the window open because of the heat but you can hear all the neighbouring bars and the clocks chime every 15 minutes. Thankfully the chimes do stop around 10pm until morning so doesn’t disturb sleep. Windows sufficiently block noise. The hotel is very basic as expected. Clean but not spotless. Comfortable enough beds but need some firmer pillows! "
