"Having stayed at this hotel approximately a dozen times it’s been the last few visits that I have to ask every evening for clean towels and coffee refills! They then still don’t give the room any attention! Light bulbs missing from bedside lights! Very basic maintenance and housekeeping!"

"The spa is excellent, our 2nd time visiting, it was a bit busier give it was a Friday evening and as a result there was a shortage of loungers. The better spas I’ve been to in Europe often have complimentary teas which would make for a nice addition. We stayed in a refurbished room which was an odd layout, with the bed directly next to the door. The bathroom was massive but didn’t seem to have been refurbished. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was average for the cost of the stay. Disappointed to be charged £15 for parking after paying £187 for a night. "

"A grand hotel with lovely views however whilst the public areas are rather splendid, some areas do look a little tired and in need of updating. This didn't detract from our stay though. Plentiful and varied breakfast and a great location"

"The hotel was as leonardo hotels always are; clean, comfortable and well located. The highlight in this hotel were the amazing staff, particularly at breakfast. All of them worked tirelessly to make the area clean and well stocked, Kieran worked with a smile, Billie was energetic, extremely welcoming and was so friendly whilst Chris was our son’s star magician! He was not only working hard, as the others were, but made out son feel super special - showing him magic tricks and checking on him. We had already said that we would gladly stay here again but now, we want to come sooner purely to see the wonderful people that work there! Thank you all for an amazing stay."

"A great hotel, staff are friendly, trendy bar and rooms. Our room was immaculate. Loved the bar area, hotel in walking distance of the Barbican, shops and Royal Dockyard. "

"We've just come back from an absolutely lovely short stay at the Cliffden, primarily to visit local friends but also for a bit of relaxing family time. The hotel itself and grounds are gorgeous with helpful, generous staff. Our room was basic but a good size and had everything we needed, we missed out on a Seaview and would definitely request that next time. The pool and easy access to town through the gardens really made the stay but we also really enjoyed the restaurant with exceptional staff who couldn't do enough for us, but all staff we met were kind and helpful. "
