"Room was clean, staff were all very friendly and helpful, we couldn’t find the underground carpark, but sainsburys was close and no problem there. Really nice touch having a fridge in the room. The only thing missing for me was ice. It was available in the bar which was open til half 9, but we got back late after a show at pavilions, and I have a huge addition to ice cubes! I got through it so it’s okay, it’s just a personal thing, there’s always tea and coffee, but I’m yet to find a hotel to accommodate the need for ice late at night! Although we didn’t eat, the food smelled great as we passed by and having looked through the menu, very reasonably priced too. Thank you all for a very comfortable stay xx"

"The hotel is in a great location next to the train station and only a short work in to town. The room was clean and tidy and the bed was very comfy and we had a great nights sleep. "

"On entering the hotel from the limited car park through the scaffolding and into the rear of the hotel we thought it was going to be a let down but the room was large clean and very relaxing although dated. Breakfast was very nice well cooked and of a good quality. The reception staff were very nice and welcoming so we left feeling happy and relaxed 😊 "

"Second stay at this lovely independent hotel. Even better than the first stay as no issue with a squeaky bed this time and everything else was as good as before. Great location near The Hoe and a short walk down to the city centre. Brought my car this time and parking was no problem. All staff, both on reception and at breakfast were happy and smiling, which costs nothing but makes a big difference. Look forward to returning. "
