"Lovely hotel on the university grounds. We chose it because it was dog friendly and it ended up being perfect! We were put on the ground floor with patio doors leading out to the park area, which was great for our dog, super easy. "

"The room was fabulous, it had a really comfy bed, the pillow's were perfect, the room itself was extremely spacious, there were little extras like we had biscuits left with the tea and coffee and an ice bucket which we used. The towells in the bathroom were huge and soft. The reception staff were super friendly and we were able to check in really early when we arrived instead of having to leave our luggage. Excellent hotel."

Lonely Traveler Productions thought it was absolutely brilliant – a truly marvellous place to stay and one we’d happily recommend to anyone visiting Derby. "Breakfast buffet was great, restocked regularly, and we were seated quickly. We had dinner there on our second day, and the pork steak was the best Ive had, as was the chocolate sundae. The swimming facilities are clean and well lit, and aside from the discomfort of a random man watching me from the sauna the entire time my friend and I were there, it was a pleasant experience. We ended up leaving the pool because of the creeper and didn't go back. Luckily changing rooms are separated by gender so we didn't run into him again. Rooms are clean and comfy, the bar service is fast and staff are all friendly and have a smile on their faces. This will be our go to stay whenever we're in the area, even after the pool creeper incident"
