Boutique-Hotel Stadtherberge Wetzlar

10/10 Excellent

"What a perfect stay!! I absolutely loved our room, it was so cute and the patio was so perfect! The location was great, we were able to walk everywhere. Breakfast was AMAZING! Everything was top notch. We will be back."

Hotel Bürgerhof Wetzlar

8/10 Good

"The room was spacious and clean, with very comfortable beds. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty of choice. The building has a lovely traditional, older feel, which works really well in the restaurant, reception and hallways. I do feel the rooms, particularly the bathroom, could benefit from a little update while still keeping the character of the hotel. We were really looking forward to the city view, as this was included in the room description when we booked. Unfortunately, our room was on the other side of the building, so we didn’t get the view we were expecting."

Burg Hermannstein - KingsRoom

8/10 Good

"This was a unique stay that we enjoyed. The castle is still a work in progress so there is construction on the outside going on, but the price for a unique stay was good. We had a lovely room with water, monster drinks (that was different) fruit and treats provided. The bathroom is outside of the room. That was disclosed and we were aware of it, it wasn't a big deal for us. Pros: Unique facility, friendly owners, reasonably priced, clean room, snacks and water provided, good breakfast. Cons: The bathroom shower head had a leak on the side that caused water to shoot out the side. They have a side yard but it is not currently maintained, so not pleasant to sit out in. There was a slight cat odor in parts of the castle, but not in the room. We like cats, so not a big deal. We would love to stay again, it was very unique and the breakfast was great. The cost was far cheaper than other unique stays we looked at."
