"This hotel is in the heart of the old downtown Portland, west of the river. It was a block to the venue, and convenient to the library, many nice restaurants, coffee shops, and other shops. The hotel lobby is beautiful, and the bar was a fun place to eat, drink, and people-watch. There is a more formal restaurant and a gym on the property. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with great views of downtown Portland. The off-site parking was a block away and reasonably priced, although the parking spaces are a tight fit. All in all, a much better experience than we expected. Would definitely stay here when in Portland again."

"We had a great stay at Hotel Eastlund for 2 nights. The front desk staff gave us some great suggestions for restaurants around Portland. I had read a number of reviews from people complaining about the noise from the train that goes right by the hotel. The room we were in was great and we barely heard any noise during the night. If the window was open you could definitely hear it though. Our room was pn the 5th floor directly above the entrance to the lobby. We were facing the street with the train but we had no noise issues. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. It was a great location for us as we were in town for a concert and the stadium was less than a 10 minute walk away."

"On the beach -- easy walking to Haystack Rock. Only drawback was noisy neighbors their guests -- out for the evening and returned to their room after 1:00 pm ... TALKING LOUDLY talking in the hallway. They quiet down when asked. (They were ill-mannered -- this was not the fault of the innkeepers."

"Breakfast can be a bid better. For $15 a person, there several places in the vicinity that give you more bang fornyoue buck."
