"Overall, the staff and hotel amenities were amazing and we really enjoyed our stay. However, the cleanliness of the resort had much to be desired. In our first room, there was a mineral and biofilm build up in the sink faucet, big lumps of dust covering the vents and bathroom door, a broken latch on said door, and a broken seal on the sliding door to the balcony that made it foggy. We asked to switch rooms after noticing these details on our first day. Our second room had a smaller but still noticeable mineral build up in the faucet, something plant-like poking out of the ceiling, dripping wood stain from a beam, trash under the tv stand (from previous inhabitants), and a random termite swarm the night of our fifth day. Every time housekeeping came to clean and restock our room, no one addressed the faucet buildup, wood stain, mystery ceiling intruder, or trash under the tv stand (which we found ourselves on our last day). Aside from our rooms, the pool chairs, umbrellas, and parts of the restaurant outside were covered in bird waste and were not cleaned. The staff were very helpful throughout our trip and we thoroughly enjoyed the amenities, but the cleanliness of the resort overall really took away from the experience."

"This was an incredible property! The room was amazing and beautiful, the food was delicious, all the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was our favorite of all the hotels we saw in the area and we wandered around several. We will definitely stay here every time we're in the area."

"We had a great experience at Kahana Beach Resort. We stayed 9 nights. From our north side balcony, we had great ocean and mountain views. Place was clean, well maintained, and kitchen was well supplied. We saw turtles swim by and there was a good variety of fish snorkeling off its beach. This was our second time staying here. We would stay here again."

"We recently completed a four-night stay here, and while there were some highlights, the experience was overshadowed by several maintenance and cleanliness issues that made it hard to fully relax. ​The Good ​Amenities: The pool and hot tub areas were the highlight of our trip. They were well-maintained and provided a great space to unwind. ​Service: The front desk staff were consistently friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. ​The Bad ​Room Condition & Cleanliness: Upon arrival, we were disappointed to find dirty dishes and utensils in the kitchen. Furthermore, the sofa bed was in very poor condition—it was sagging significantly and provided almost no support. ​Lack of Soundproofing: The walls are incredibly thin. We heard everything from the adjacent room, including their TV, private conversations, and even every bathroom flush. It felt like there was no privacy at all. ​Maintenance Issues: The kitchen tap was non-functional when we checked in. We had to call maintenance to get it fixed, which took over an hour of our vacation time. It was frustrating to be assigned a room with a known mechanical issue; if management was aware the tap was broken, the room shouldn’t have been cleared for guests."

"Great property. The Hokupa’a tower stay was luxurious, closest to an all inclusive you could get in Hawaii. Everything was clean and amazing and access to Lanai was the highlight of the stay. Proximity to whaler’s village, good shopping and a great beach. Overall, highly recommend "
