"A really nice hotel. With spacious rooms and a beautiful infinity pool on the balcony. It does get busy near the bar & pool so would be great if there was some more seating. Would book again."

"Marino Beach hotel was a welcome surprise. The lobby is beautiful, and the staff is exceptionally friendly and professional. The buffet was overflowing with variety, perhaps better than the Shangri-La. My only note is that if you are a light sleeper, the walls are very thin, and there is a lot of noise. Not from outside, such as traffic, but noise of other guests and cleaners slamming doors, etc. If not for this, it would be my favorite hotel in Colombo."

"Great location very close to shopping mall and walk along " the Lawn" a popular walk along the sea front at sunset. Hotel has so much history with it being the first and therefore the oldest hotel in Sri Lanka. It is beautifully restored and has 4 restaurants. A great buffet for breakfast afternoon tea and dinner. The King of the Mambo is an amazing bar right on the sea front. A great place to watch the waves crash before you 50 m away! Vishnu one of the bar team was excellent. Reserved a table for us each night and remembered our drinks! Swimming pool is huge right on the indian ocean. We had a relaxing full body massage which was fabulous. We got a balcony room at the front of the hotel which had great views. The room was large, big shower and separate toilet. Lots of wardrobe space and drawers. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and give it 11 out of 10!"

"Their service was excellent. They were super helpful. I wanted to check-out early the next morning, so I went to the reception that night and informed them to do a quick process for the check-out. They were not only very helpful regarding the check-out process but also this gentleman at the lobby packed my breakfast just because I would not be there to have breakfast. The next morning they gave me a big box of breakfast with everything I like. Honestly the best and very caring place I have ever been. Hospitality at it's best! Will definitely recommend to others."
