"It started off pretty bad, but the management took care of our concerns nicely. Tip: Do not get the lower end rooms, they are awful. The higher end rooms are extraordinary. So are the grounds. But if you come at night, note the parking lot is unlit and a kilometer from the front desk."

"It is a beautiful property, walking distance from the outlet. We loved staying there in a cabin. We were told by a staff that we couldnโt check in until the official check-in time, but when I asked another staff. I was told that the room was already ready and we could check in."

"This was our second time stay, and we loved everything. The breakfast was excellent, but one foreign stuff member's sleeve was too short and the bottom was undone. The staff were friendly, though a few foreign staff members had difficulty understanding my questions in Japanese. This hotel is excellent, that is why I believe the customers would expect them to speak Japanese language in native level otherwise it will affect the longtime hotel history. I hope the hotel continues its excellent service and professional atmosphere."

"A lovely hotel, rooms were modern and super clean and stuff were super helpful. Iโm booked to return there again later in the year and the staff were excited and ran off and found me a sticker for the hotel that I could put on my suitcase."

"My family enjoyed this hotel very much. The quiet, the decor, the cleanliness and especially the service. I discovered I had left somethings in the room safe at my last hotel and Ms Hatanaka was kind enough to make a call right away to my Tokyo hotel to arrange for them to hold it and return to me when I return to Tokyo. I really appreciate her help. I will definitely return in the near future."

"Great place to stay for a visit to Kariuzawa. Next to the train station and they will hold your bags while you explore the town, then pick up your bag and head to the train station. Very helpful staff. The breakfast buffet was one of the best Iโve had in Japan- lots of local, traditional foods cooked from scratch. Such a treat!"
