"Greg, the proprietor, is a great guy, welcomed us personally, showed us into our room, set us up with excellent Starlink WiFi first thing and prepared a beautiful, big breakfast for us the next morning with sweet papaya, melon, excellent coffee, and poached eggs on ham, cheese and avocado toast. The room was comfortable and clean, with TV, and a fridge. The property is beautiful, nestled in the rainforest with countless birds and green mountains behind. He pointed out his flowering jade plant with blossoms like I've never seen. Thank you Greg!"

"I recently stayed at the Daintree Wilderness Lodge and have to say that it quickly became one of my favorite locations while on a two week journey though Australia. Not only are you immersed in the middle of the rainforest, but you have some of the best staff around with some great recommendations. I look forward to returning to the lodge again, hopefully soon!"

"Stayed 3 nights in a twin room with king bed. Spacious, clean room with clean bathroom and good shower. Fantastic deck with rainforest views and a procession of wildlife. Room has a small fridge and tea-coffee making facilities but not much else for self-catering. On-site bar and restaurant available for breakfast (continental included), lunch and dinner. Meals were very good quality and quantity, continental breakfast was fruit, cereals and toast. Location is ideal for exploring the Daintree for a couple of days without having to use the ferry every day. Several rainforest walks available directly from the lodge with safe swimming holes in the nearby creek. No other restaurants or services within walking distance, there is a small store about 10 min drive away."

"Cape Trib beach house gives you the opportunity to have a secluded bit of rainforest and beach away from the busier parts of the Daintree. The restaurant is good, portions are large. You can sit on an idyllic beach with just a couple of others hearing and seeing the rainforest animals as waves lap upon the beach. We saw Cassowary at the property twice in our 3 day stay. You canโt go in the water, but that is true of all FNQ. This is not a luxury property but maybe a more authentic feel, the rooms have the basic necessities and are clean and comfortable. The property is well located for Daintree activities, we did both the horse riding and ziplining, both of which were excellent and can be organised by the staff."

"A Indonesian-style retreat about a 15 minute drive from Port Douglas with beautiful rainforest and coastal views from the communal dining room/terrace and pool (both areas are small but lovely to hang out at). We both preferred to stay out of PD and visit it rather than the other way around! Andre is a fantastic host, always on hand to help or provide advice on local activities and dining options (limited locally but there is a great Thai in Mossman at which you can dine in or takeaway and eat on the terrace at this property - Andre will provide plates and cutlery). Large bed with a beautiful canopy and a delicious fresh-fruit, yoghurt, and croissant/toast breakfast each morning. The steep drive way may surprise you when you first arrive but continue up for the fantastic views! Mossman Gorge, PD's crocodile viewing bridge and the Cape Tribulation drive are all must dos from Mai Tai."
