Even before we arrived, we were contacted by the girls introducing themselves and asking if there was anything we needed. We arrived at By The Sea at midnight, and from the moment we walked in, we knew we wanted to stay longer. It is the most friendliest welcoming hotel you can wish to visit. We spent four days in the Alamanda in a 2 bedroom suite as part of a family reunion. The suite was spacious, comfortable. clean and surprisingly well-equipped - it felt more like a home than a hotel. The location is superb - right on the beach and backing on to a creek (sadly we never saw the crocodile that was reputed to live there!). And the facilities (three pools, including one for adults only) were all we could wish for.

We stayed here in a two bedroom apartment for four nights in early July and found the whole experience to be excellent. The location is fantastic, close to the supermarket and every other shop or restaurant you might need and walking distance from almost everything else (trips to Great Barrier Reef and beach, etc). The apartments are well equipped with everything required and the bathrooms are great. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and extremely helpful. All in all, a very successful stay...
