"we were nervous when we first arrived because we had to travel thru the medina to get to the Riad...the roads were like alleys-dark, spooky..like going thru a maze...google maps were not accurate..however, once we found it and came inside, Alassala was fabulous, the staff was excellent, the food was good, the rooms were fabulous, one staff member "Ali" went out of his way to help us with suggestions of where to go and how to get there"

"The Riad is beautiful, traditional. The staff (Hassan and others) were extremely attentive. They even put together a care package for us since we needed to leave early in the morning. This is a quiet Riad in a residential part of the Medina but very close to everything the Medina offers. The food was delicious (although this is not a Riad with a proper restaurant and does not have a bar). Comfortable beds and good water pressure! Highly recommended."

"The room was not fully clean, previous guests left their mop and rake and it was not cleaned properly. The staff it’s very friendly and always happy to help . Location it’s amazing "

"I stayed at this riad for two weeks and they literally treated me like family. At one point I got sick and they checked on me several times and went to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription. The service was outstanding in every way and the restaurant is d3eservedly one of the top rated eateries in Fes. Stay here. You will be glad you did!"

"Unfortunately Ayoub couldn’t contact me so we got very lost finding the entrance to the riad. Google maps was very unhelpful. I would suggest a welcome message is sent in advance to guests asking to confirm their contact details for direction advice and arrival time etc as well as notifying guests that they need to give some notice if they want the hotel to arrange guide/transport. They definitely try hard to get everything right for you which is admirable. I would stay here again as location was perfect. "

"Overall we enjoyed our stay in Fes. The riad makes a great first impression—the courtyard is beautiful, and the rooftop has great views and is a really nice spot for breakfast. Our room on the main level wasn’t ideal. The windows opened straight into the lobby, so it didn’t feel very private, and we could hear a lot of conversation through the vents (and assumed the same the other way). The bathroom also had some issues. The shower wasn’t really usable without water spraying everywhere, and the space isn’t set up well for that. The staff were friendly and helpful overall. That said, some of the upselling felt a bit deceptive, which took away slightly from the experience."
