Great View of mountains and whole valley!!
We had a great stay at Hotel Kulm. The view from our room was incredible. The food was great in the restaurant. The pillows though were so lumpy, I tossed and turned all night. Maybe they like them lumpy!!

Delightful place for a stay
I was not expecting the gorgeous views from our room's balcony, so we made the most of it by having drinks out there in the evening. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the food in the on-site restaurant was super. All in all, a delightful stay. We would definitely come here again.

A Bit Rustic with Breathtaking Views
I selected the hotel because of the expansive panoramic views offered at the hotel being 888 meters above sea level over the Rhine Valley. The hotel had a little bit of a rustic feel. It wasn't luxurious. It was quaint and adorable and had the most spectacular views of our entire 2018 Euro Road Trip. The staff were very friendly and kind, and the restaurant was fabulous. We were in room no. 1, which had a spectacular balcony that offered breathtaking views. The carpet in the communal areas appeared a bit dated. The room was basic, but clean. There were two twin beds pushed next to each other with mattresses that could not be conjoined and a separate twin bed in the far corner. The walls were partially covered in a light colored wood. The bathroom was clean, but basic. The towels in the bathroom seemed a bit old. The blankets and pillows were perfectly adequate, but old and not very lovely. The largest downfall (for me, at least) was that there was no air condition in our room. We slept with the balcony doors open, but it was still too hot for my liking. The Wifi was free, but only worked in our room and not in the communal areas. The real treat was the massive balcony with the stunning views looking out over the mountains and down into the valley. I had selected a balcony room with a view, and the view did not disappoint. The view was absolutely incredible and was our favorite from our entire 2018 European road trip.

Everything was awesome. My only complain is that not all the staff speaks a good level of English to solve your doubts, but they look for alternatives or other ways to communicate, though. The effort is there, so that's always good.

Tranquility in Liechtenstein
This hotel is in Triesenberrg, a few miles up the hill from the capital Vaduz. There is free parking in the underground garage. Our room had a nice view of the mountains and valley below. Room size was very good, and the bathroom was also good. Wi-fi worked well. Breakfast was included, and could maybe have had a bit more variety, but still was adequate. We had a relaxed dinner (without the Swiss sticker shock) on their view terrace. With some nice walks in the area, you could spend two nights here easily.

Look for other options
Firstly it must be noted that "Mountain" view means a view of the valley below and "Countryside" means a view of the courtyard and noisy street. We made the mistake of assuming "countryside" would me we would actually get to have the view most of the photos show. Both were the same price when booked.Instead we got what I would have to say is the worst room I've ever stayed in. Anyway, we booked a Countryside room with a double bed and balcony and got none of this. We were put in a room with no balcony, two twin beds, and a view of a courtyard with a noisy roundabout just beyond it. When we complained to the front desk, the (i assume owner) told us "we'll thats what you booked and we only have two rooms with balconies" The room itself was very outdated besides possibly the bathroom. The twin beds were short enough that my head was touching the headboard and my feet the footboard (I'm 6'3) and hard as a rock. I dont think I got more than a couple hours of restless sleep the whole night. It was also fairly warm despite the temperatures outside being in the high teens Celsius. Normally this wouldn't be an issue since we could open the windows, but between the trucks, 2stroke motorcycles, cars, and churchbell than rang at all hours we couldn't sleep with the windows open. Breakfast was included the next morning and was the normal european spread of bread, meats, cheeses, jams, eggs and cereals. They also had and juices coffee. We didn't try their restaurant for dinner
