Love this hotel!

Beautiful hotel, comfortable rooms, great staff! Definitely the best we stayed at om the NC500, and a highlight of the trip. Food is ambitious, but has room to improve.

We stayed in the Miller’s Cottage 2 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Wonderful dining for dinner and breakfast in the Forss House dining room. A lovely stop for us on our NC500 road trip!

Somewhat disappointing

The ladies who served breakfast were absolutely fantastic, super friendly and efficient. Unfortunately we were horrified by the appalling service on arrival, after an extremely long drive we were met by a grumpy member of staff who closed the bar 45 minutes earlier than advertised . This was a a trip we were most looking forward to, after visiting several times before, we found the hotel run down, poorly maintained and lacking in cleanliness in several areas.

Loved the mill house we stayed in. The main house is a beautiful old place. The service was lacking waited at the bar for a half hour before someone arrived, his bartending skills and personality needs some improvement.

Our bedrooms were excellent.. recently modernised… the main hotel was ok service hit and miss but perhaps a skeleton crew as just after NewYear… had to request for the fires to be lit and the lighting was not good resulting in no ambiance…however the food was excellent..

This is my forth time here and as always it was outstanding. The room service and food all excellent, coupled with the surrounding just make this the perfect Scottish experience. Staff are lovely and very helpful, the food is of a Michelin standard and worth every pound.
