Good Location, bad ambiance
Not worth the price. Very disappointed. The front desk folks not helpful at check in and the rooms are mediocre The area around the hotel is nice and close to the beach

Fantastic stay at Marine Palace Hotel
Fantastic staff, Fantastic location, Fantastic food Manager Harrie and staff arranged our pick up at Trivandrum Airport and transfer to the Hotel Marine Palace. They also arranged all our trips and tours with private air conditioned car and driver guide. We visited Temple Elephant parades, Tea Plantations, A trip to the tip of India where the Oceons meet and a spectacular boat trip in the Back Waters all recommended by staff. The hotel public areas and our rooms were spotlessly clean and my room was spacious with fine shower suite and access to a veranda overlooking the Arabian Sea and beautiful sandy beach. Location was central for lots of shops and restaurants but also quiet and peaceful. Can’t thank staff enough, they looked after us very well. Harrie booked or train for our onward journey to Kochi and was there at the station when we arrived by taxie. He accompanied us to our train carriage and ensured all was good for us and we knew where to go when we arrived at Kochi for our further stay there. We will defiantly be back and HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS HOTEL TO OTHERS.

Friendly staff, good location.
From the outset the staff were exceptionally friendly and we knew they would always do what they could to help. The room was comfortable and clean. One thing which surprised us was that they asked us each morning whether we wanted the room cleaned, at first we thought it was charged extra, but it wasn't and they did a good job. The hotel is not on the main beach-front which is both good and bad. Obviously the view was not quite as good, although we could see the sea. But it also meant we did not get the awful, loud karaoke from the big events at the other end of lighthouse beach.
