"We enjoyed our stay here in a large room with modern bathroom. All staff were very welcoming and friendly, felt homely. The breakfast was delicious. The view of the lake at the front of the hotel was stunning - we enjoyed being able to sit and watch the sunsets. Our only negative point was the poor wifi if you need it (which we did to remotely work so this was a struggle). Otherwise we would happily return."
"YHA set in a stunning location, basic accomodation with easy access to the Lake District set in stunning scenery.
Good food, friendly staff and excellent value for money."

The King's Head Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Fantastic hotel, lovely staff, delicious food and central location to all the hotspots with a bus stop across the road with a regular bus service to and from all the hotspots. Room for 1 was clean and beautifully decorated but very small which meant that on warm sunny nights the heat builds up making it uncomfortable to get ready and sleep in, easy fix, needs Air Con or a decent fan as the ones in the room were inadequate, however would this stop me returning, absolutely not as everything else in the Kings Head Inn was first class. Special shout to Sean/Shaun who gave me some lovely scenic places to walk."
"A lovely overnight stay at the Grange Country House. We received a lovely welcome from Michael, he was very informative and helped us to get settled in quickly. He gave us a tour and explanation of where everything was and about breakfast. The room was perfect, very clean and excellent condition. The breakfast was delicious the next morning and everyone that worked there was smiling and helpful. We will be staying again. "
"The Royal Oak is in a stunning location and there has clearly been a lot of investment in upgrading the facilities and decor. This has resulted in very stylish, thoughtfully designed, high quality accommodation.
The room & bathroom were gorgeous with good storage, a very comfortable bed and good quality fabrics, linen & towels.
Everywhere was spotlessly clean.
We very much enjoyed the evening meal and breakfast, both cooked well and with good quality ingredients.
The indoor spaces are well laid out, the courtyard was cool and peaceful and the garden was sunny and well tended.
The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly the chap who checked us in and worked in the evening (he has dark hair and a beard but we’re sorry we didn’t ask his name).
We would definitely recommend a stay here and are already planning to return. "
"We have absolutely loved our stay.
The area is beautiful, the hotel is quiet, pretty and boasts amazing views of the area from all
Points of the hotel.
Dinner was worth having here as the food is great.
We’ve loved everything about this place. We didn’t get time to use the spa but it looked lovely
Would highly recommend "

"The hotel was perfectly located for walking. The room was very clean there was just some lipstick/ makeup marks on the bathroom wall which I didn't expect as the room was expensive. But overall it was a luxury experience. Breakfast was nice"
