Lovely area, the grounds are stunning. Staff welcoming one in particular a barman from New Zealand very friendly and helped us enjoy our drink and meal in the bar. The room was exceptional, comfy bed and chairs, spacious, lovely royal style carpet, even a little balcony. Shower gel and Shampoo top class. Spa - ok, hot tub needs to be a higher temperature and more powerful and lighting should be darker.

We checked in around 5pm. 2 rooms booked. We were assured prior to our stay that the rooms would be next to each other, however we were placed two floors apart. We asked them to rectify this however they said the hotel is fully booked and they couldn’t. They eventually placed us on the same floor together. Staff were polite enough, but this was quite an inconvenience and they did not apologise. The food was good. The amenities were ok, a little outdated and needed maintenance work in some areas (the spa). The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. Did not play golf; we booked for the use of the spa. It’s no Hilton but it’s ok for the price. Would possibly stay again in the future.
