"Absolutely gorgeous and had all the most important amenities with excellent cold AC, beautiful bathroom and shower. Pull out sofa bed was comfy and everything was decorated super well. Astrophotography at night was excellent for Milky Way core "

Enjoyed Terlingua Ghost Town, Terlingua Trading souvenir / gift shop, little farmers market with a few vendors, various food options, Terlingua Cemetary. The Starlight Theatre / restaurant was closed when we arrived but was told it was very good.

We really liked Terlingua. The ghost town, the cemetery. It's a beautiful area. Has a fair amount of restaurants with bars. We enjoyed La Kiva very much!

There isn't much to Terlingua. It's desert. Quiet, lots of stars. Make sure you have plenty of gas, water, and food, as resources are sparse.

If you are into astronomy this place has fantastic skies, just be aware it doesn't get quiet until after 10 pm. Earlier in the evening there are kids with flashlights, car headlights, and people driving around. It does die off after 10 though.

Desert town. Maybe a little quirky. It's what might expect at the ends of a country 😀 if you've been to areas on the fringe!

It has really grown in population and number of houses since my last trip. It was better back then.
"Such cool A-frame houses that are so efficiently designed/built! The place is fairly new and very nice! The owners are very attentive and reach out to you just make sure everything is going well throughout your stay. So many amenities such as patio seating, hammock, fire pit, grill, and a loaded clubhouse with all sorts of fun games! They have everything you need in the rental toiletries, pots/pans, kitchen ware, and bedding. Stargazing was amazing unlike anything we’ve experience in northern Texas! We’re definitely coming back and staying here again.

"This was our second trip to your resort; our first trip was 4 years ago. We remembered why we chose this place in the first place with all the amenities. It is also a very peaceful & quiet place to relax. "
"Place was amazing. Just know what you’re getting into. First off know that you’re off the grid. And there is absolutely zero cell phone signal and while there are certain locations on the ranch that does have Wi-Fi my particular cabin did not. Secondly, you do have to go on a 3 mile dirt road after traveling approximately 13 to 15 miles off the beaten path. I particularly didn’t mind this. In fact this is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a place to where I could shoot photography for the stars a place that was dark and so having an area that was off, the beaten path was exactly what I wanted. They had a restaurant there that had absolutely fantastic food. They also had a pool which I did not use. Apparently, according to what I read, you can fly into there if you should so shall choose. As there is an airfield. When you read about their history, you can take in the fact that they once partnered with the Shelby corporation to establish the Terilinga racing league. There’s a lot of history there. There’s also hiking which I did take part in do so at your own risk.
Outside of the lodge, you’re about 20-40 minutes from Big Bend national Park. There’s also a big bend State park. Furthermore, there’s a Terilinga ghost town which has fantastic ice cream and a place called the starlight theater that had live music too!
Overall, if you know what you’re getting into it’s a wonderful place to go and I quite literally enjoyed my stay there And I am eager to go and return."
