The place is very close to the visitor center and the pier. Quiet at night.
Owner/Staffs are very friendly. Feel like stay with family. The owner took us for bicycle tour in the early morning.($100 NT for bike rent).
The room is very comfortable.
The breakfast is good.

Gentleman at the front desk was so polite and friendly. Made our stay so welcoming! The place has been recently refurbished in May 22, so everything was clean and tidy. Location was perfect which overlooked the lake and had access to shops and restaurants.

Central location and sparkling clean premises. Toilets and bathroom areas are open plan to the room which may put some people off who want more privacy when on the loo!
Staff in mornings and afternoon but not 24 hours. A couple of people had issues and were struggling to contact staff on the displayed number. Otherwise faultless place to stay. Free mini bar with coke and sprite as well as water and kettle and tea in room daily. Generous breakfast. We would stay again, great value.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, that it's in Taiwan, where expectations of hotels is low makes that even more impressive!
The hotel itself is on is Ita Thao side of Sun Moon lake, which in my opinion is the better side. We didn't like the Main side as much. You step out the door pretty much onto the main road with all the street food vendors for snacks/breakfast/lunch/dinner. As they shut up by 7pm it doesn't disturb you in the evening.
