"This was an ok hotel and served it’s purpose. Some of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, whilst others just seemed to want to sell you more things. It wasn’t overly clear on booking that you had to pay for parking at £7.50 a night. We had to change rooms midway as the toilet blocked, and neither room had working heating."
"Clean and well presented. Staff very helpful.
Continental breakfast limited. No fruit salads, porridge, bananas, oat milk, prunes, granolas, cereal toppings or berries etc. "
"The breakfast has changed since the last time we visited. It says that it's healthier with a very limited choice of cereal, although I found the granola very sweet. There are no longer any fried eggs or fried potatoes. Whilst I appreciate the sentiment, they still serve traditional bar meals with chips and mayonnaise, so doesn't seem a joined up approach? Preferred the previous system."
"This is the worst Doubletree I have stayed in. The Aircon is not aircon and rooms were boiling in the middle of March. The rooms are tired and dated too. It's a shame but I will seek another hotel in the area in the future."
"Friendly check in with Dylan and Aiden. Modern style hotel, very spacious. With a health club and spa which we didn’t have time to use but we could see people arriving to make use of. Good size restaurant and bar area. Menu a little limited for the restaurant but it was okay. Room was clean and spacious. Bathroom clean although shower not very powerful. It was an overnight stop so more than okay for that. Staff were friendly and helpful. "
"Great staff and they called when room was ready and stored our luggage for us. It was a visit for my daughter's 21st birthday and the location was brilliant as she is at the uni there. Lovely, clean and quirky room and very quiet too. Breakfast was also really nice and again, great staff. "
