"I liked that the location is away from the busy are, yet close enough. Good English support. We went up the hill and explored, which I would recomment if you want to get away from the crowd. Just a few good quality shops and art galleries, and restaurants up the hill."

"I love that this hotel was completely different than what I expected. Upon arriving I was pleasantly surprised by the bed & breakfast style of the hotel and the nostalgic memorabilia displayed throughout the hotel as well. The staff was very informative and accommodating to my needs while speaking english. I felt right at home. The free hot chocolate was delicious which I sipped graciously in the living room after a hot soak in the private onsen. I had such a relaxing experience. I am looking forward to visiting Yufuin again and returning to this hotel! "

"Nice property just off the main street, near train station. It is pet friendly with 3 resident cats roaming around the lobby. You get to book 2 sessions at the baths after checked in, the semi open bath on the 2nd level is popular, while the rooftop bath may not be a good idea in cold weather although the view is great. You get free use of the bicycles for your stay. There is no lift so you have to carry your luggages up and down the stairs."

"A wonderful experience to stay in this boutique ryokan. Imaishi San helped us on checking in, and introduced the all facilities. He also served us the Yufu Kabosu drink during the night cafe hours. The breakfast was really delicious and delightful."

Perfectly appointed villa, private en-suite hot springs tub with a view of Yufu mountain and delicious breakfast and dinner spreads served in your villa… not to mention the in villa massages. Totally worth the cost. If you’re planning a trip to Yufuin, this is one of the best places to stay."
