"Parking was easy and free during our stay. Too few staff with too much to do. We were not offered desert after our main meal and gave up waiting for anyone to check if we would like a desert! Overall the property needs a refresh as if is tired."

"Parking was easy and safe. The double room was small and it would be advisable to check with the hotel to ensure you get a decent sized room. On our last morning there was no water for washing or shower. I had to find a receptacle and carry water to the room from the pantry in order to wash and flush the loo. I know this was beyond the hotels control but it was awkward. I asked for a refund and was given £28 pounds. The ambience to the place is lovely as is the surrounding parkland. Staff were very good. Just a sad set of circumstances took the edge of our visit. We would consider returning but on the proviso the room was to our needs."

"The first room we were given stunk of cigarette smoke coming from the bathroom. Odd as the room had been cleaned. The reception staff immediately gave us a better room. I also found it a little weird that the hallways were so dim (?). The wall sconces were on but didn’t throw much light. "

"Great fresh and clean facility that felt modern. Bar area and restaurant for breakfast was great, good options, well maintained and staff really helpful. Do have to pay for parking though which we didn’t realise."

Superb breakfast included. - only hash browns and fried eggs not provided in line with healthy take. - bacon sausages scrambled eggs mushroom tomatoes beans all high standard normal cereals yogurt fruits great range nut seeds dried fruit granolas overnight oats etc"

"I’ve stayed here 3 times before. The staff are excellent everytime. For some reason everytime I come I get the loudest rooms looking onto walls or roofs, whereas people I’m travelling with get balconies & views onto the courtyard. On this particular stay my room was next to a huge machine that was left on all night. It was incredibly loud & was hard to fall asleep. (To be fair I didn’t mention this to them at the time as it was 11pm & I had an early wake up the next day, so i’m unsure if they could have moved me or not.) On previous stays I’ve woken up at 7.30am to the noise of pickleball being played loudly in the sports hall. This last stay would potentially put me off coming back. It wasn’t a one off so I don’t think I’d want to take the risk again."
