"Clean and inexpensive place to stay. Room was pleasant and warm - it was wet and windy when we visited so we were grateful for somewhere to dry out! The hotel is well served by the Loop bus making travel between Margate, Ramsgate, and Broadstairs quick and easy. It’s also across from Westcross Shopping centre, which was handy when we needed to buy a raincoat and extra layers. We didn’t have breakfast, preferring instead to travel to nearby cafes. All in all, very good."

"Very clean and tastefully decorated on a quiet side street. Friendly and helpful staff, although I understand they aren't on-site on Mondays and Tuesdays. We chose room 2 on the top floor, which has a pleasant view of the street. It would benefit from a table on the other side of the bed and a brighter reading lamp! We found the shower controls to be a little stiff when altering the water temperature. Choose one of the higher numbered bedrooms if you have difficulty with stairs. Nice, reasonably priced cafe and well-stocked bookshop, closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The sitting room has to be seen to be believed as it looks as it might've done when the hotel was built. The hotel has a small, chargeable car park to the rear but it's first come, first served. Free street parking is more miss than hit, but there is ample residential parking 10 minutes away on the Eastern Esplanade. There is also a convenience store across the road that is open long hours."

"We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Kat and Spencer were amazing hosts. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They provided us with lots of information about the area. The room was spotless and a tea tray was brought up to our room each evening. The breakfast was spot on and there was a really good choice. The history behind the building is quite something. The building itself is beautifully decorated and homely. It is a 5 minute walk to the sandy beach and a short drive to Margate. We would definitely stay again."
