Explore quaint St. Kilda: its wildlife, island views, history and more!

Incredible archipelago, remotest part of the British Isles, a fun 40 mile speed-boat ride west of the Outer Hebrides. World Heritage site, one of the world's most important bird breeding grounds teaming with gannets, puffins etc, and a fascinating history of locals who subsisted largely on wild fowl and were evacuated in 1930. Hike up for spectacular views but watch out for aggressive dive-bombing skuas which make their nests on the hill slopes... Highly recommend bringing a stick to the island to use as a decoy radar above your head!!
