"Spent a couple of nights in St. Ignace. Breakwater was excellent - 2 minutes away from the ferry to Mackinaw Island and a shuttle to get you there for a day trip. Breakfast was great as was the restaurant for dinner.
Rooms were spacious, clean with a balcony and great views of the lake and the island.
Friendly and helpful staff. Definitely recommend."
"Super clean, super well maintained property. The staff is really kind and really helpful. Let us check-in early and were super efficient in calling us a shuttle so that we could make it to our ferry in time. Have an assortment of bagels, muffins, cereal for breakfast which were all decent. Would 100% recommend and would definitely stay here again."
"We had an awesome time. Loved the view of the lake and that they have both an indoor and outdoor pools and hut tubs. We also loved the breakfast selection available. We are doing the Lake Michigan circle tour, and this is the best hotel we have stayed at along the stretch."
"We’ve stayed here before and overall it’s a good value, in comparison to other hotels. Room is a bit dated, especially the bathroom, but clean. Bathroom fan only/always turns on with the light and was very loud and annoying. No ‘entryway’ light as you enter into the room. Swimming pool and hot tub has not been in working order our last 2 stays. Breakfast was very sub par, with hot food only consisting of burnt eggs, hard biscuits and nearly empty gravy."
"I’ve been staying in the Straits area for over 30 years and I can say this is without a doubt, the cleanest, most comfortable and friendliest place. I’ve stayed. Major compliments to the management team and all of the staff."
