Peter who welcomed me at the car park, Becky & Theo at reception who settled me in to the lovely Hollyhock room in the main house. In dining Sarah in the lounge, Caoimhe in the dining room, Edith at breakfast - and all the staff whose names I sadly can't remember made me feel welcome as a solo diner and left no need unmet - even needs I didn't realize I had! The glorious menu (best breakfast ever), the tasting at dinner. Sigh. So glad I took photos to make sure it wasn't just some fabulous dream. "

"What a wonderful stay! The room was gorgeous looking out over the abbey and had a great shower. Bed was really comfortable and room was beautifully decorated. Had a great time wandering around the village and along the riverbank before dinner. Bar and restaurant were also beautifully decorated and the food was excellent. Breakfast was so good we couldn’t eat at lunchtime as we were still full. Staff were friendly and welcoming. A perfect stay and we will return! Thank you."

"We have visited The Swan at Streatley 5+ times in total over the past few years. For us, as we live relatively locally, it's a nice place to get away and enjoy a night away from home. Cleanliness is superb, as you should expect, as is comfort. All rooms, whichever size, are brilliant. However, the ones near the stairs, such as 21 I believe, have some noise if people are heavy on the stairs. However not a reason not to say and I believe they're one of the cheapest rooms. The restaurant, run by Coppa Club, is brilliant. You can eat on the enclosed terrace all year round and the price isn't too extreme given the location. Don't love the 12% service charge to be honest but you have to pay this in lots of places these days, it is dicretionary. Lots of places to go and sit around the hotel to enjoy a drink or their new lounge menu. Ample parking too, never an issue and lots of nice walks nearby too. Hotel is also dog friendly. May start to sound like an advert but just a good review! Not being paid at all to write all this."

"Outdated. No whwre near what it was before. Room was old dated and filthy. Food option was very very very poor and the staff struggled to keep up with drinks. So upset with our experience. we were so looking forward to it and a special occasion ruined "
