We stayed at Burnsville on our way to KY for one night. We found the hotel easy & parking was OK in the town square, no problems at all. Checking in easy, super nice and friendly staff. The fire was crackling which was very much appreciated as it was 33 degs outside with a cool wind blowing outside. The room (the Lumberjack) was adorable. Room clean, great checkin, breakfast good generally a great all round experience

We stay here when we visit our sons who live in Morganton. It is always comfortable and has great staff. It is convenient to walking in historic downtown and close to great restaurants and bars (like Sidetracked!).

This hotel was amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The decking outside with the rocking chairs and fire pits was great. Would really recommend. No one at reception but left a phone number and answered straight away.

Ok hotel, clean enough and ok beds.. It's an older hotel however, and due to the bad sound isolation, you can hear your neighbours all too well.

We were greeted as we arrived by Mike and his wife who were perfect hosts throughout our stay. Hotel is close to lots of hikes(by car).

Short break to watch son compete at Conference Carolinas Track & Field Championships hosted at nearby Lees- McRae College.

Nice hotel in a great location - perfect for getting on the highway whether to Linville and the Blue Ridge Parkway, Asheville or Chimney Rock. Plenty of parking. Close to food outlets and supermarket. Very helpful reception staff. Only gripe - a minor one - scrambled eggs from powder (I presume) at breakfast.

Good for stopovers

We stayed here for a night as part of a road trip, plenty of food options close by and a supermarket directly across the road. I chose it thinking I'd get a nice view of the mountains but arrived a little too late and ended up with a room at the back which was quite dark. Never mind! Room was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast wasn't great, just ok, waffles were the only decent fresh item and I don't eat them, kids were happy though! Around 15mins to Asheville which is a cute place...
