Orton Hall Hotel & Spa

"The hotel grounds are lovely and it’s a good location but ideally need a car to get to and town. The rooms themselves are a little dated but spacious and comfortable. They were very clean but they are dark and need better lighting. We ate in the restaurant and my meal wasn’t the best but the breakfast was fresh and well stocked. The spa was clean and a nice addition but the men’s changing rooms were not great. The women’s changing rooms would be better with cubicles to change. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Overall a nice stay and would come back."

"On arrival a car with no blue badge was parked in the disabled bay to the right of main entrance. I gave the registration number and showed a picture to the person on the reception desk. He didn’t seem interested and said he thought it was a member of staff and it was obvious he wasn’t going to do anything about it. Unfortunately as a blue badge holder I am finding this becoming an increasingly common approach to managing disabled parking."

"A lovely warm welcome when checking in. Brilliant room next to the garden, room nice size with everything you need. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially in the bar and the food was very tasty as well. The breakfast nice choice, hot food freshly cooked with plenty of cold breakfast items on offer. A wonderful stay highly recommend. Will be back."

"Excellent site with lots of things to do. The accomodation was clean and very airy. The location was ideal for us as it was near the end of Conningsbury runway which was one of main reasons for our visit. Nice bars, a little pricey, but a good choice of ale's and cocktails. No late partying which was good. Great location for all of the various visitor sites and airfield's. Good for getting to Lincoln also."

"Had a two night weekend break. Arrived earlier than checkin time but were able to leave the car in the carpark - note there is £15 per 24 hr fee. When we did checkin my partner's birthday was acknowledged and our room was upgraded! Room was spacious. A little worn in places but overall clean and comfortable. Had drinks in the bar but ate out other than breakfast. Breakfast was all buffet style but worked well. Would stay again if returning to the area."

"I liked this hotel in every way but the most outstanding thing was the view from the diningroom of a really lovely garden with mature trees, shrubs etc. As the whole of the wall was glass, the view was probably the most spectacular I'd ever seen from a hotel dining room."
