Our first encounter upon entering the room was a fishy odor and we had to have the room re-cleaned (someone had fish in the mini-fridge). We are avid travelers and spend a lot of time in hotels around the world and we were surprised to find a charge for WiFi service. Especially when free WiFi can be found in the cheapest of motels! "Both the staff and resort were wonderful. Very clean place. Staff at the hotel, restaurants and pool were all very sweet and helpful. Would highly recommend this resort for families as the units are spacious, have full kitchens, and an outdoor screened in porch. The only negative was that the beach chairs are not included in the stay. You would need to rent them daily or by the week or get your own beach chairs and umbrellas from a local shop and bring them to the beach. Even with that...

"The comfort of the place is rudimentary but the experience is very special. To stay in a chickee in the middle of the Everglades for a night is an amazing experience. No windows, only the screens for the mosquitoes. No locks on the doors. Shared batroom. Listening to the sounds of the wildlife during the night, waking up with the sunrise is so nice! "
