"Had a great stay here with my Wife for our honeymoon. From our first arrival the staff were incredibly helpful, fully stocked fridge with bread, spreads, cereal, milk etc. These can also be topped up daily and they leave you a little form in the room to let the housekeeping know what needs topping up. Shower temperature and pressure left much to be desired but is on par with the rest of the island. The beach bar was frequented by us for their helpful and friendly staff that remember your name, and even dietary requirements, such as me being gluten free, the staff always greeted us by name and got me the dedicated allergy menu without me needing to ask again. All in all Castaway Resort is a great 3 star hotel with more than enough value for your money. Finally a special shout out to Firaz from the Castaway beach bar for his impeccable service and hospitality, you are a true asset to all of Castaway and all guests that you meet 😁."

"Our room with a pool was lovely. Entrance and driveway in need of a makeover. Breakfast was average as some days food not replenished so ended up going to a cafe and paid for breakfast."

"We had the best time! The staff is incredible, so warm and accommodating - I would return here just for that reason! The on-site restaurant is also really good, very convenient to pop over for a quick meal. Everything was very clean and well maintained, and the WiFi worked great!"

"Just what we wanted. A well maintained, clean resort with no kids. Having said that, there was always the option of going next door to The Rarotongan to use their facilities. The staff deserve a special mention. They were universally polite with a ready smile and happy to share a joke and quick chat. They made the holiday. This resort really merits a 5 star review."

"A great place for a family holiday with all you need. Restaurant was top notch for breakfast with something for everyone. Beachside room was basic for the price but quiet most of the time. Beach next door was a better option for us as a busy time of year in August and hotel beachfront very busy with families. Enjoyed the cocktail hour and nibbles. Bus comes into the entrance of hotel every 30 minutes, which is great and no car needed but $5 for each trip so for a family car hire may be more economical."
