We came to Hay on Wye to look at the bookshops and stayed in the Swan as a central location. The hotel is an old building so the stairs creak a bit and the carpets are slightly frayed in places but the hotel was warm and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable ( 2 arm chairs - a definite asset) and had a good view across fields. The food was very good and not expensive and the wine list was well thought-out. The dining room is elegantly laid out and there is a lovely garden for afternoon...

The hotel has some areas that seem a little tired and in need of updating. It was clean in most areas The staff were very pleasant and helpful, they are all worthy of praise. The food was fabulous although we didn’t always require a set 2 or 3 course meal. Drinks were expensive but the overall experience was very enjoyable and we would definitely recommend and visit again.

Modern hotel on the outskirts of Cardiff next to a lake and a retail park. Rooms were basic but clean and the staff were polite and helpful. Good pub quality food and fair selection of drinks. Free parking for guests. Very good value for money and for what we required, a cheap overnight stopover, it was ideal.

This is my go to, for my long trips from Cornwall. It offers a break, where for a reasonable price i get a large warm quiet room with a lovely shower. There are pubs close by if you don't fancy eating at the service station and cheap petrol too. Probably not suitable for people with mobility problems as the showers are over the baths.

3 Adults one child and a dog, three nights, very tight budget. I did not fancy camping as I didn't want to get wet and cold, my knees demand a high bed and my bladder wants a loo...well, when it wants a loo! Superb property with four bedrooms and a well equipped kitchen that is perfect for couples or families. It is in a great location just a short walk from all the shops, bars, restaurants and beaches that Tenby has to offer. It felt more like a home than a holiday property and we will definitely return

Clean, cosy and comfortable. Also very quiet in the middle of nowhere. Will definitely be back.

Lovely cottage and wonderful hosts, very friendly and helpful. Ideally site near the centre of Hay and a great base for local walks.
