The location is beautiful. There's golf, and cycling, smack in the middle of a forest, 25 minutes stroll from Vieux Bocaou , a small coastal resort with a gorgeous lake for swimming and boating when the surf is too high and the sea too rough. Surf is first in this whole region and the beach is stunning. In Vieux Bocau there is all you will need - no "big shops" - but plenty of eateries, restaurants, bars, bakeries, ice-cream and surf and beach requirement shops. 10 minutes drive takes you to hypermarkets, where the fresh vegetables, pastries, fish and meat is to die for. Golf Pinsolle is a medium sized development and this was our fourth stay. Apartments are well equipped with a few French quirks ie. they have a coffee-maker but no kettle - you boil water in a saucepan!; a microwave/grill but no toaster but it has a dishwasher & there is on site laundry .Our shower leaked badly , flooding the floor and into the kitchen. The sealant needed replacing and we reported it to reception who noted it. Someone visited throughout the day and couldn't fix it so we had to use all the towels every night to mop up the floor to prevent further flooding. However this was the first problem we have ever had in 4 years of staying here and it is the end of the season so perhaps this will be on the snag list for next year.
Pros: the apartments are spacious -with large outside canopied family eating areas on upper balconies and a lovely swimming pool.
Cons: Only French tv - I understand german and a little Spanish but if you are non-French speaking - hard luck! There is no bar and no shop -within 15 mins,
Location: Surf everywhere. Shopping/Scenery/Sightseeing - Bordeaux/,Biarritz, Foodies - St.Jean de Luis (Basque town - DON'T miss it. San Sebastian - Spain
