"It was a nice Japanes experience with the futon on the floor. Only two points negative. There was no towels for the shower unless you rented it for 200 yen. Breakfast was only croissants with coffee, juice,butter and jam. "

"Really enjoyed our short stay and visiting this area. Walkable distance from the station and lake. A full Japanese-style breakfast was beautifully presented with some alternatives also on offer - fruit, eggs, bacon etc. We visited in May when the hotel and Suwa generally were very quiet so we were able to enjoy the hotel facilitie - the modern reception area and onsen. Good size room with twin beds. Go for one with a lake view if possible."

"If you are a tourist, this place is only accessible by taxi. If you want to take the bus, make sure you do not have luggage as the city busses are very small. The onsen is really the highlight of the place. "

As it is winter during our visit, many shops and restaurants weren’t open for business. So getting food from restaurants was almost impossible. But overall we had a good time chilling in the cabin, overlooking Lake Shirakaba. "
