"Really enjoyed our short stay and visiting this area. Walkable distance from the station and lake. A full Japanese-style breakfast was beautifully presented with some alternatives also on offer - fruit, eggs, bacon etc. We visited in May when the hotel and Suwa generally were very quiet so we were able to enjoy the hotel facilitie - the modern reception area and onsen. Good size room with twin beds. Go for one with a lake view if possible."

"The staff were friendly and the breakfast was simple (green salad, two egg fries, bread with butter and jam, fruits, and a pot of coffee or black tea) but delicious. Personally I liked Peppermint’s breakfast better than buffet breakfast, because we ate everything that’s served. No waste, so eco-friendly. Another thing we liked was a nearby museum. "The property is small and lovely. The juxtaposition of the noisy chaos of Tokyo, with this relaxing oasis was just what we needed. The staff were so helpful and communicative. The food was delicious and the private onsens were absolutely beautiful. There isn’t much to do in the area but we didn’t mind because the hotel itself is hard to leave. "

"I loved the Onsen especially the outdoor Onsen with stone sides (on top floor and well fenced). The laundry worked well. Breakfast was excellent although the breakfast room is a bit cramped. Room was large by Japanese standards and comfortable. The free treats and bedtime noodles are great. Overall a lovely stay. "
