"This classic old property was everything our extended family could have asked for. We gathered for a wedding, The Julien was the site for the reception and everything was great, the staff was efficient. The room was just the right size for the crowd and I. Think all were impressed. Our room was very nice, however, the lack of USB and other “tech” features/amenities was the only negative. In today’s world there can’t be to many options for charging accessories."

"We stayed on a Tuesday night because my 8 year old son didn't have school on Wednesday. This was supposed to be a special trip for him as a reward for doing well in his new school. When we arrived we were told the water park and pool were closed and always is during the week. I did not see that advertised or posted anywhere while making my reservation. That was very disappointing for all of us. The reservation also said there was a Continental breakfast but we were given a brown bag breakfast with a frozen sandwich, apple and granola bar. Not what we were expecting so we then had to go out for breakfast. My reservation also said there was a separate bedroom in our suite and there was not. It was a very small room but it did have the correct number of beds. Overall we were disappointed. "

"Pool and hot tub was a great way to start morning off. Room was nice and very quiet. Very close to local attractions and shuttle was handy and quick. On site restaurant was good and had entertainment available. Would definitely go back"

"They must have new owners and the women at the front desk couldn't speak english and had to get someone on the phone. unexceptable."

"Loved the ambiance. It was loud. There was a group in the lobby we could hear down the hall pretty late. Someone’s running in the halls above really late as well. There was some weird vibrating noise in our room too. It was pretty humid in our room so we had to open the window to get it to cool down."

"Bed was comfortable. Loved the balcony. Be ready for stairs though. We did not find in elevator."

"Not sure what this would be like, went at last minute so fortunate to find. Beautiful setting and view, really relaxing and separate from hubbub of downtown Galena. Great room (comfy bed and sofa), a view looking out over countryside and nice area to walk down and around pond. Staff friendly and welcoming. "
