"The cottage was gorgeous, in a lovely quiet location and parking at the back. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. We only stayed a night but it had almost everything you'd need for a stay. A bit of soap in the bathroom and teatowel/towel and washing up liquid in the kitchen with some milk for a cuppa when you arrive would have made it perfect. "Good hotel if you like fade charm. The Group were on 2nd 3rd floor these were ok esp 2nd floor. Rooms below entrance (downstairs) were not so good per part of group that were here last year. On each floor spectacular lounge areas to meet up. Outside over looking sea also very good. Some one in group had been to Waldorf Astoria NY some years ago as part of cruise deal. They rated this hotel better for room 2nd F & open area spaces If this was in London & had some more improvements it would cost serious money."

"This hotel is not the easiest to find by car but is well worth the effort. You can buy a local parking permit from them at a discount rate of £5 per night. Our room (214) was huge, with a wonderful sea view. The bed was so comfortable, and the bed linen was spotless and excellent quality. There was a coffee pod machine and tea making facilities, with free bottled water and fresh milk in the fridge. The buffet breakfast was lovely and all the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn’t eat there in the evening as we went to a local event, but the menu looked amazing. I can’t recommend The Bike & Boot highly enough and we would definitely stay there again."

"The good points. Room and bathroom very clean. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Undercover parking include in room price a bonus plus EV charging if needed. Not so good points. Don’t book a cosy room with 6’ double. It is too cosy, we are not big people, but I would not want to spend more than a couple of nights in there. The lady on reception is bit snappy when my wife said we don’t want to be on the top floor. We are full she was told, but after some huffing and puffing a room was found on the second floor. On the first night we dinned in restaurant not very good! On the second night we dinned in the lounge much less formal and the food was better. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel based on our experience."

"This is a lovely hotel full of character. Yes it looks a little scruffy on the outside but the inside is good. Every member of staff was pleasant & helpful especially on the front desk for checking in & out. We arrived early & asked about a parking permit & the lovely lady not only sorted us a parking space but also let us have our room key even thought we were a few hours early 😊 Our room was clean & had everything we needed, the walls are thin as we could hear the people next door but we were only there for 1 night so it didn't bother us,the bed was comfortable. The bar area is nice & the buffet breakfast was good. We were there for a concert at the open air theater & the location of the hotel was spot on for this, just a few minutes walk away. We enjoyed our stay at the Clifton & would definitely do it again 😊"
