The photos depict what the property WILL look like, not what it is. Arrived to learn that it is a former Best Western being remodeled; lobby and hallways were taped off, filthy carpeting, etc. Tape on doors were marked with room numbers. No signs visible upon entering; not sure where I was. Receptionist was in a corner of a cordoned off area and was not particularly welcoming or friendly. My room (234) was nicely updated, though the workmanship was sloppy (paint and grout dripped on bathroom tile floor, grout missing in places, trim not cut properly, old stained carpet remaining, crappy ripped laminate counter over the little fridge and old microwave), stained upholstery, new paint needing touchup, etc.) I can only hope this room is not completely done and that touch-ups will be performed; if so, it has the potential to be great. (Oh, by the way, get rid of that tacky butterfly art, please.) That said the bed was super comfortable as were the linens.
I think I may have been the only paying guest there (paying too much BTW) with other rooms filled by workers. I tried to relax by the pool for an hour after checking out but was overwhelmed by riding lawnmowers blowing dirt my way, roofers, painters and others doing their work -- a good thing for sure, but not conducive to the relaxing reprieve I had hoped for.
