Santa Lucia Trip

This accommodation had a great location, central and close to great restaurants and sight seeing. The staff & service was excellent. I did not have the breakfast so I can't speak to that. The room quality was average. Needs an update/refresh. Street noise was very loud on busy street and difficult to sleep soundly.

Staff was very helpful. Hotel location is very central and convenient to many of the sights. Be prepared, however, as it can be quite noisy during the night due to the crowds near the duomo.

I can't say enough about how perfect our stay was. I wish there was a Habitat in every city we traveled to. The staff was amazing, kind, friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. The room was spacious and the rainfall shower could blast away the aches of a day sightseeing. The breakfast was by far the best we had in Sicily (they even prepared a to-go box due to our early flight out). Their restaurant is Michelin rated and is a must try when in Catania! The completely secure, covered parking garage was a must as we had a rental car and was worth the 20 Euro/nt. There is no driving on the street in front of the hotel, which kept it very peaceful. It is only a short walk from the main road and parking garage, so easy to access even with luggage. Our stay was only for two nights before our flight home, but it definitely left an impression!

The room is pretty small being a twin room and there is even smaller bathroom and we have problem getting boiled clean water because they did not give the kettle , instead there was a coffee machine which was extremely difficult to operate and the cups provided the paper ones were very, very small. As a result we have to buy water bottles from outside to fill the coffee machine. The staff were okay , one gentleman on arrival gave us the wrong message that we were already billed when it was not the case and we were billed at the end when we checked out . Not a big deal but we kept looking at our credit card and bank statements to check whether it was already done or not which was a bit of a waste of time and unnecessary, one of the girls at the reception kindly gave us a small bottle water so that was appreciated. Overall it was okay but it would do with a bit more space to put things on like toiletries in the bathroom and also the roof off restaurant was costly and the view wasn’t that brilliant anyway.
