Absolutely awesome rental for our vacation. We could not have picked a better place to stay! The unit itself, was exceptional; a one bedroom two bathroom gem. So spacious, clean, full kitchen with fridge and freezer. Suited us to a T! The building and parking was fantastic; the roof top pool had an amazing view of the city in the artistic neighbourhood, plenty of room excellent sun loungers, couches and chairs, so very relaxing. You know what they say, location, location, location, and this building shines in that regard; all things in walking distance, grocery stores not far and farmers market roughly two blocks away. The concierge and other staff members were so friendly and helpful, we really cannot say enough about our two week stay, except to say we will be back, you can count on it!

I would give this place five out of five for value, great location, and comfort. However, a few things need improvement: the kitchen needs to provide a decent coffee maker, even just a french press (the Nespresso one in ours didn't work), a microwave, kitchen towels to dry dishes, a non-stick frying pan, and plastic cups and glasses to take up to the pool deck. Also, some hooks on the endless expanse of walls would go a long way to helping us hang up towels, wet clothes, etc. If some of those inconveniences were addressed, I'd give this place five out of five stars. Spacious suites with comfortable beds, a great pool and penthouse deck, and steps away from the main plaza where it all happens. And a taxi ride to a good swimming beach by the pier was only $7 including tax. We'd definitely come back, but would pack some of those items they don't provide.

My partner and I recently stayed for two nights at Lumina at Cardinal, and we absolutely loved our experience. The apartments feel beautifully modern — so much so that when we first walked in, it even smelled like fresh paint. Everything felt clean, new, and thoughtfully designed. The staff truly made our stay special. They were always friendly, took the time to check in with us, and were happy to offer recommendations whenever we asked. Their genuine hospitality was definitely a highlight. We especially enjoyed the gorgeous infinity pool. It offers great views of the iconic flag at Plaza Mijares, the main boulevard, and the lagoon — perfect for relaxing with a drink or enjoying sunset views. Despite the location right in front of a school and beside an IMSS hospital, we were pleasantly surprised by how quiet and peaceful it felt. There wasn’t an issue with noise or bright lights during our stay. The gym is small (only free weights), but we never had to wait to use it, and it served its purpose for a quick workout. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would love to come back here whenever we’re in San José del Cabo again.

Great place! Spacious, and clean. The location was perfect. Walking distance to everything! I would stay here again in a heartbeat! The only thing missing was a TV in the bedroom and laundry if you stay longer.

We had a great stay at Lumina. It was close to all the action down town and a pretty easy walk to the beach and groceries. The place was clean and full featured. The roof top pool was a great place to hang out even if it wasn't hot enough for us to brave the pool for swimming. I would definitely come back here again!

Sunrise from the rooftop was amazing. We wanted to put the rooftop fire on one night but you need to reserve your “20 minutes” of use, a day ahead. Great having underground parking. Included kitchen items for my week stay were 4 coffee pods and salt/pepper. Very walkable area with lots of music to enjoy.

I was on a solo trip for business. The apartment was modern and well-equipped. Comfortable bed, nice sofa tv, the kitchen had all i needed to make a basic meal. The owners have put nice personal touches on the property - i loved all the photos of the local area. The rooftop pool is gorgeous - great to chill at. There is a rooftop gym area which was great for a sunrise workout. Lots of restaurants, cafes & shops right on the doorstep. I would stay at Lumina again!

New Apt in a great location. There aren’t hotel services if you need that. They are still working the kinks out of the building and I never did get warm water. They told me to just run the shower but running water in a desert for 20 minutes seemed a waste. All said great location and value though.

Overall the property was nice. I took my 2 daughters age 17 and 19 and we booked a 1 bedroom with a pull out. The room was good but no pull out. It was a very small, uncomfortable couch that the back folded down on. There was also no linens provided for it. Needless to say my youngest daughter was not impressed. Also, there were only 2 indoor and 2 pool towels provided. We emailed asking for some additional clean towels mid week but they were never delivered. Lastly, the roof top pool and patio was very nice but there were no umbrellas. It was extremely hot up there with no escape from the sun. Nice property but the small things add up after awhile.

New condo building in a great location. Spacious new unit although it wasn’t deep cleaned. Hair on floors, dusty corners. Ask for a higher floor unit if you can. Ground floor had zero privacy and no views. Everyone walking into building could see directly inside if blinds were up and direct view into bedroom from the service area. Great walkable central location and great views from rooftop.

Lumina - 3 day stay during June

I really enjoyed staying at this place. Overall the place looks amazing and has everything needed especially the infinity pool which was a great addition to our stay. The only drawback from this place is that the shower gauge and temperature does not work properly. For the 3 days, we had to shower in freezing cold water otherwise there would be some moments where the water turned scorching hot and then back to freezing cold as we had no control over the temperature. This was a bit concerning and when we asked the owner about this, she mentioned just to allow it time to warm up. This was not the response I was looking for as this was far from the issue. I really hope they fix that issue as this place is great to stay in if you can get passed taking cold showers. I would give a perfect review if it was not for the shower issue. I think it has to do with the whole building as we asked other renters if they experienced the same and they confirmed it also happened to them.

I’m going to tell you the truth - this property was nice, clean, and in a decent location away from the partying Cabo (about a 35 min drive). However, there was a host of problems from the moment we checked in. The owners of this place aren’t on premises and do not answer the phone that’s posted; they only reply back through Expedia messaging which takes lots of time if they’re paying attention. We arrived and had not received the “email” with the room or passcode and the front desk didn’t know anything about it because they are security and have nothing to do with reservations from private owners. We waited 2-3 hours going back and forth through messaging with owner who gave us 3-4 wrong passcodes to the room. They finally got it right and we were extremely frustrated having to stand in the sun playing with codes. We didn’t receive a parking space or passcode to garage. The owners claim to have requested for a license plate via email in order to get a spot and passcode but once again, receiving emails through Expedia in another country with very limited cellular data and wifi is going to make life hard because it takes time or doesn’t come at all. Instead of answering the phone, they only email and this kills so much time. The air conditioner didn’t start working until night time so it was muggy everyday until PM. There was only two large dry towels and no face clothes. No washer or dryer on premises. No microwave. It was terrible. Go elsewhere. Cute place but bad management
