Margaritaville resort - Gaslamp was a great experience. The little cafe was perfect for the morning and the restaurants were great - for both service and food quality. The pool was a little small when it was busy but fine for a quick dip - very nice that it was open concept. The location is great for conferences or headed to a Padres game !

When back in San Diego will definitely stay here again. Close walk to a lot of bars, restaurants and Petco park. Hotel was very clean, room was spacious and comfortable. Staff was friendly for the most part. Can’t penalize everyone for the personality of one. Enjoyed our visit. 10 minute ride to zoo and airport was convenient and nice as well.

Our experience at Margaritaville was amazing. The rooms were very clean and nice size. The atmosphere of the staff at the front desk and the bar upstairs were all really great. They have a restaurant downstairs with a coffee bar next to it. Would 10/10 recommend both. The location is perfect for going outside and enjoying downtown San Diego.

A wonderfully relaxed vibe and the hotel staff were more than helpful. Hotel room (king size double) was perfect and had great controllable air con. Very clean and had a great TV with a good choice of channels. Disappointed with the quality of food in the Landshark bar/grill attached to the hotel so we only used it once when it was quite busy with only one server on duty.

Nice property and friendly staff. Only issue was aggressive maid service banging on my door at 8am - at the Margaritaville in the Gaslamp District. Always wonder if they are just trying to wake everyone up.

The hotel staff and service was excellent. The hotel was nice, the room was clean, and we didn’t hear much noise on our 4th floor room right next to the pool. Housekeeping was helpful and the checking in and out process was easy and quick. My only complaints are the $70 a night for parking is excessive and the added resort fees don’t justify what you get for your room. We didn’t use the pool or exercise room and only got 2 waters per day. They do have a lot of discounted happy hours daily that we didn’t take advantage of at their bar/restaurant. We mostly was there for lodging and spent our time outdoors. The location is perfect with tons of restaurants, shops, and activities close by that you can get to by foot. The airport is also pretty close which is a plus.

The room was super clean and spacious, air conditioning worked very well & the staff were knowledgeable, the roof top bar was a great place for Happy Hour. The breakfast has a good selection and the food was amazing. Everything was within walking distance so that was a real bonus. We would have enjoyed our stay quite a bit more if we didn’t hear our neighbour snoring very loudly for 5 night in a row. Doesn’t appear that the walls are very well insulated at all noise from the hall way was also a factor, the hotel door to the hallway had a gap so not very sound proof. Overall nice hotel just a few things that possibly could use some attention.

The location of this hotel is stellar. We walked to many places we went. And if you are young and love to party, this is the place for you. We had to discover nearby sites and venues on our own. The staff have not been trained to give tips and help to out of town travelers, especially seniors. With our white hair we got stares poolside. The food at their two restaurants was quite good. If you're not a walker you need to rent a car and pay for the valet parking.
