Didn't like that there is no microwaves, the sink clogging, one tiny crappy soap, No wifi, tweakers everywhere u have yo carry frozen food across the property to microwave it and theres weord people in therre all the time . Pretty much a low income housing place for people in government programs. Not worth the $

The lady at the front desk as great. Everything past that was awful. Yes, it was affordable and walking distance from the train station. That’s what sold me. The room itself was foul. My non-smoking room felt like it was smoked in for 30 years. The noisy AC that was cobbled together with chicken wire just felt like it was pumping ash into the air. Most all of the power outlets were burnt out. The bathroom was falling apart, and they didn’t even care enough to try scrubbing all the mold off the tiles any more. I didn’t have the gall to complain or attempt to switch rooms, because I had my doubts that other rooms were any better. Overall, I reckon I’m glad I had a place to stay right off the train late at night. Even with my humble expectations, I would advise anyone else in that situation to take Uber or the trolley away from there, even if it adds another hour and a higher price tag to your adventure.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Everything is wrong with this property. My room was dirty and had mold. There were silverfish in the bathtub. The cable TV had less than 28 channels and many of them did not work. I had to pay extra for the internet. I can not believe Expedia would even list this property on their site! At the same time I blame Expedia for this. I did not read the fine print when I booked with Expedia. I booked the cheapest room and got a smoking room. My bad. Booking a room anymore has become like booking an airline flight. You have to read all the fine print to see what you are getting. Extras are going to cost you! Also, my room was right above a major Interstate and a local commuter train that blew it's horn at all hours of the day. Cheap doesn't mean it has to be unclean or unkept. I would add that many reviews complained about the homeless people around the hotel. I had no problem with them. If you don't want to see homeless people don't visit San Diego or any other major city.

Although it is a motel, the place had comfortable beds. However, 1 night had no hot water or A/C... moved rooms. The next room A/C worked but still no hot water. The motel manager gave me a discount off my stay. The location is close to the transit center in Old Town. Would have been nice to have a bus that picked us up, but the walk wasn't too bad.
