"The house was unexpectedly nice. We thoroughly enjoyed the cool (unheated) but not cold, jacuzzi pool after a long hot day in Manuel Antonio park. This is a nice place, but they really, really, need to let folks know that this place is very remote and the road is very bad. Great if you want to bring everything and just stay there, but it is a 45 minute drive on bad, unlit roads to come or go from the lodge. "This is an older property that needs some updating. There is nothing really special to distinguish it from any other basic hotel. The window shades in our room were tattered. The on-site restaurant served one of the worst Cuban sandwich we have had, however the breakfast was good. They have limited hours for their free shuttle to the airport. It did serve the purpose of a room close to the airport before flying out."
