"We loved this small boutique hotel. Lots of character, lovely owners and staff. Good location, close to pedestrian area and old town. We would definitely return but longer next time."

Red roses, champagne, duvet folded in shape of heart with rose petals arranged around it...unexpected for our wedding anniversary. View from our window was of river, castle, and old town. Perfect room in everyway. All the staff were friendly and helpful in everyway. Could not fault hotel in anyway. Best hotel we have ever stayed in on our travels over the years

Excellent hotel with a warm atmosphere. You can really feel that this is a hotel run by a family who are passionate in what they do. The room was very clean, it’s in a great location and the staff went above and beyond to help us. In fact, we have found all Austrians to be incredibly hospitable. I would highly recommend. Thank you for a wonderful stay in beautiful Salzburg.

A second visit to the Blaue Gans - our 'go to' hotel when in Salzburg. A direct bus line from the airport drops you right outside the door - and your then based within an easy walk of all the main attractions in the old town.
Fantastic staff throughout, with an extremely helpful reception team to help you get the most from your visit.
Comfortable rooms, beautiful, simple, and with great design. If just there for a long weekend a 'regular room' will be perfectly adequate as they all have...

We arrived at Hotel Sallerhof to snow, quite magical ! The hotel is located in Grodig which is about a 20 minute bus journey into Salzburg an ideal location if you want somewhere quiet and away from the busy city in a beautiful area. The accommodation was excellent and very clean, the hotel staff who speak English are very helpful and provided leaflets informing us of various tours in the area, bus service etc. We could not fault the breakfast which was very varied, usually cereals, cold meats...

Nice clean hotel with original old style rooms where you will find everything you need. Staff is really nice too. Not far from the train station and about 10 to 15 minutes walk down in the old town. Good and savoury breakfast buffet. Thanks

What a wonderful place to stay, it conveyed a true Austrian traditional guest house in every way. We would definitely use them again, so kind friendly and helpful. Nice quiet area but only a 4 minute walk to the regular 10 minute bus service connecting to the public transport network. Beautiful views to the mountains.

The hotel was beautifully situated by the River Salzach and a picturesque 15 minute walk to the old town. The staff were friendly and helpful and the bedrooms immaculately clean. Breakfast was of a good quality and food constantly replenished. I would highly recommend.
