This was a family trip with my husband and our two teenage children. We chose Urubamba because the altitude was lower than Cusco and we wanted a quiet place to acclimate to minimise sickness. We were only in Peru for 10 days so we couldn't really risk 'sick days'. I'm so glad we made that decision because staying at Lizzy Wasi was a joy. Urubamba is a safe, quiet, and yet bustling with local activity with a great market and a couple of fantastic restaurants. Kids play in the streets and...

What an amazing experience. The room was clean, great shower with hot water and comfy bed. The food was incredible. The views were amazing. The hosts were so communicative. Picked us up and had dinner waiting on arrival. They thoughtfully put the heater on in our room so was super cosy. They even had hair straighteners. This place is truly a haven.

The setting is stunning and so peaceful. Tents are comfortable and the shuttle service into town is a great addition.
Food here was also great, special shout out to Miguel
WiFi was the only let down.

Very clean.
Great and very helpful staff.
Huge thank you to Jose (concierge) who had to run after us after we checked out to hand over my husband's headphones, which we left behind! This is so much appreciated!

Lovely place on the road between ollantaytambo and urubamba. Beautifully decorated. Great little garden and sitting room for relaxation. Good dinner and breakfast plus the sacred valley brewery is just a few minutes walk away.

The staff in the lobby and the restaurant and around the grounds are so lovely and warm and welcoming. Hotel is really something spectacular too. Not to be missed

The hotel was a little hard to find but when we did we were welcomed with a lovely smile from the receptionist. This is a delightful hotel run by local people and every staff member was very friendly and warm with the smiles. We used this hotel as a base while we explored Machu Picchu. This meant that we could leave our large rucksacks at the hotel while we travelled on to Agua Calientes. When we returned the whole town was in darkness as they were experiencing a power cut. But this added to the...
