I was told beforehand that this hotel was all about the location, and not to expect the usual luxuries for the (considerable) cost, and I wasn't disappointed. Actually I felt the hotel was very good - yes the rooms were small, but it had a nice atmosphere, particularly after the park had closed and everyone else had returned to the village below. Maylin was the standout member of a superb team of staff at the hotel. Everyone was so helpful and super friendly. The room was clean but a little worn in places, nothing to complain about. River view room is awesome but, with the river in full flow, it’s loud, didn’t stop us from sleeping though. Breakfast was good, decent selection and a cooked to order omelette was excellent. Easy walk from the train station and close to the bus stop for Machu Picchu. Would I go again, definitely
