"We loved our stay at this place. The steps to get up to the hotel is intimidating but there is a secret elevator that can take you up most of the way through Gringo Bill hotel (learn to use this, very important). The hotel is situated on the hills right above the main square so very convenient once you get down. The room was very nice with good hot shower and water pressure. I would definitely consider staying here again on future trip. We did not have the breakfast but it look very basic."

"Comfortable bed with a great view of the river and mountains. The jacuzzi bath was a nice touch after a day of travelling. Good shower and spacious room. Breakfast room has a wonderful view also- buffet is fine, good choice, nothing spectacular. Hotel is well located for train station and for catching the bus to Machu Picchu. However, wear ear plugs if you don’t want to be woken up at 5am when breakfast starts. The commotion of this starting and shortly after the cleaning of some rooms ( very loud at 6am right outside our door) meant a disturbed and shortened night sleep unfortunately. The overall welcome and check in/out was all a bit impersonal and felt a bit odd. Not even a “how was your stay”, which seemed strange."

"I liked the location, it’s a little farther away from the train, so you don’t get as loud of a disruption when it comes through every hour. The view was beautiful, and it is close to the drop off point for the consettur bus when you get back from Macchu pichu. The room was clean, my only problem is that my room specifically had problems with getting hot water because the knob was broken. There was a maintenance person that came to fix it, but it went back to being cold almost immediately. I liked how they had breakfast options that were included and how attentive the hotel staff were."

The food and service were excellent as well. We would definitely stay here again. Lovely!"
